How it works

Set it up in two minutes.

Your monthly budget divided by the days in the month is your daily allowance. It lands in the pot every morning. What you don't spend stays there and adds to tomorrow.

  1. 01

    Set your number.

One figure: what you have to spend this month.

  2. 02

    Log what you spend.

Two taps. Or mark the day clean.

  3. 03

    Watch it build.

The pot fills every morning and empties as you spend. A day you log nothing is a clean day, and the whole allowance stays put.

What it does

One balance.

Everything runs off a single number.

Bank your no-spend days

The $75 you didn't spend is still there tomorrow.

Go over without starting over

The pot goes negative. The next few days fill it back up.

Share one pot

Two of you or the whole house, all spending from one balance. Or keep it to yourself.

Skip the bank connection

You type what you spent. That's the point.

The rules

Change anything.

Nothing is locked once you start.

Whatever is left of the monthly budget is saved on day one and never enters the pot.

Budget, allowance, opening balance, category names.

Not UTC's. A late Friday coffee counts as Friday.

Add it to your home screen and it opens like an app.

Nothing moves to savings without you saying so.
Privacy

Your money isnobody else's business.

Everything you type is encrypted before it leaves your phone. What reaches our database is scrambled text we can't unlock.

Locked on your device

Amounts, notes, categories and pot names are encrypted in your browser before anything is saved.

We don't hold the key

Your password never leaves your device. What we store is derived from it and can't be turned back.

Free plans too

Same encryption on every plan. Privacy isn't an upgrade.

The trade: if you forget your password and lose your recovery code, your history is gone. We can't reset it, because we can't read it. That's the part that makes the rest true.

No bank connection. No ads. Nothing sold. Nothing tracks you inside the app — this marketing page counts visits. How that works.

Month end

Close the month your way.

See what is left, decide what goes to savings, and carry the rest into next month.

Why we built it

We wanted to spend less without running a spreadsheet. Nothing did it, so we built this and used it ourselves.

A day you log nothing — what other budgeting apps call a no-spend day. The whole allowance for that day stays in the pot, and consecutive clean days count as a streak.

You set one figure for the month. The Pot divides it across the days and credits you that amount every morning. Spend less than the allowance and the rest stays in the pot and compounds; spend more and the pot absorbs it.

No, and you can't. You type what you spend. That friction is the point.

The pot goes negative and the next days fill it back up. Your savings are never touched.

It stays in the pot until you spend it or the month closes.

Yes. It recalculates the month from the 1st.

One person is free, with no card and no time limit. Sharing one pot with other people is $5 a month, or $40 a year. The paid plan starts with 14 days free and no card up front.

No. Solo is free and works the same on your own. Sharing is the paid plan.

No. Your amounts, notes and pot names are encrypted on your device before they're saved, with a key from your password — and your password never reaches us. We hold scrambled text. No ads, nothing sold, and no analytics inside the app.

On this marketing page, yes — Google Analytics, so we can see which pages people read and where they arrived from. It sets one first-party cookie to tell a returning visitor from a new one, and it is not loaded at all if your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. The app itself carries no analytics of any kind.

You get a recovery code when you sign up. Keep it somewhere safe. Without the password or that code your history can't be recovered by us or anyone else — that's the cost of us not being able to read it.

Yes. Identical encryption on both plans. It isn't something you pay extra for.
